Registered quasi-drug manufacturer
Cosmetics and quasi-drugs from one manufacturer.
In Korea, hand sanitizer is regulated as a quasi-drug, not a cosmetic. GDK completed its quasi-drug manufacturer registration with the Gyeongin Regional Office of Food and Drug Safety in 2020 (Registration No. 1292). Our cosmetics production is certified for CGMP (all processes) by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, as well as ISO 22716 and ISO 9001. See all certifications.
Gel, liquid or spray
- Gel – 62% ethanol, for the Korean market.
- Liquid – 70% ethanol, for the Korean market.
- Spray – for export markets, in 75% IPA or 80% ethanol base.

How a hand sanitizer project runs
Hand sanitizer follows the same 10-step development process as GDK's cosmetics. After identifying your needs and agreeing on quality tests and confidentiality, the specification, format and container are confirmed. Raw materials and packaging are inspected before production, and finished goods are shipped with marketing support. For export orders, tell us the destination market at the start so that the specification and labelling can be planned for that market's rules.
| Decide early | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Destination market | Determines whether the Korean OTC specs (gel, liquid) or export specs (IPA or ethanol spray) apply |
| Format and container | Gel, liquid or spray determines the pump, bottle or sprayer |
| Quantity and timing | Sets the manufacturing schedule in step 7 |
| Bundling with cosmetics | Hand sanitizer can be developed alongside hand cream, body care or skincare from the same manufacturer |
